What is myQ POWER Adapter
No More Low Battery Voltage

from 13 reviewsThis product should be standard with every one of these openers. Works perfectly, installs perfectly and I wish I had found it BEFORE I bought an extra battery, which let's be real that's what Chamberlain wants you to do...buy more batteries. Well done to this small business.
This worked seemlessly just as advertised. Drilled holes through the back of the MyQ cover and mounting plate, drilled a feed through into the garage, connected the wires to a long wire cable, ran the wires to a 5VDC power supply adapter, attached the wires to the adapter and plugged it in. Took about an hour. No more battery changes in the middle of winter! Not sure why this is not standard for MyQ but I appreciate this nice workaround.
Take the battery out and snap this in its place. Drill a small hole to get the wires out to your 5v power source. Connect the wires. Mount the device. You then have a hard-wired power source-no more pulling the battery out in a couple of weeks to charge it. Just set it up, use it, and forget about battery charging because there is no battery in use. This is a great solution to the frequent manual battery charging issue most users complain about. I used a USB cable with bare wire contacts. After connecting it to the two wires, I plugged in the USB into a charging block and into a wall outlet. It powered up the keypad. There have been no issues
Forget every single bit of nonsense noise that Chamberlain wants you to swap batteries every month. Living in the cold of MN, I'm absolutely not doing that thing. Absolutely not in -20F in January and driving snowing weather, no no no. This adapter is exactly what is needed, paired with (and this is important, write it down) a 5V 3A adapter. Once you have that, you're golden, and this works great. Drill a small hole in the battery door to route the cabling inside, and use a little superglue or such to seal it up against the elements. Done and done.
This couldn't have been easier to install. If you're even slightly handy, you can easily install this. I ran mine through the wall up to my attic where there was already an outlet for me to use for a super clean install. It was great opening the app afterwards seeing 100% battery and knowing it will always be at 100%!

Great idea for the Wicked Edge diamond handles, fast shipping, I would buy from you again. Thanks.
I love these Wicked Edge-compatible handles. These were immensely less expensive than Wicked Edge’s stones, and these can be used for multiple grits. For less than the price of a single pair of Wicked Edge stones, I got these handles and four different grits. I’ll be ordering more once I wear out these stones/plates.
These handles are fantastic, and I like the diamond stones that fit in them. They are WAY more affordable than anything Wicked Edge sells and they work well.

Such a simple thing but works flawlessly with MyQ Smart garage video keypad. Replaced the battery with this and its just great!
